Jacob opens with "Love Lifted Me," a childhood favorite, and traces its meaning through his own journey — including the experience of coming out to his family in his 40s. He reflects on the distinction he draws between religion and love: that love has always called him toward wholeness and self-acceptance, even in seasons when he felt he had to hide parts of himself.
The episode moves into a reading of Jacob's original piece, "What's Inside" — a meditation on the beauty, creativity, and light already present within each person, compared to the wonder of a sunset or a mountain view. Jacob closes with an invitation to speak to ourselves with the same kindness and awe that creation reflects back to us, and a reminder that becoming light isn't about having everything figured out — only about walking toward it.
