"Feed my sheep", Jacob connects feeding to love — to feed something is to want it to live. From there, he builds toward a central idea: we are what we eat, and self-talk is a form of feeding. If we feast on thoughts of love, love is what shapes and molds us — smoothing us the way ocean water gradually shapes a rock.
Jacob distinguishes this from conditional love learned in childhood — love that seems to withdraw when we act or speak a certain way — from the unconditional love of the Creator, which never withdraws. He shares practical examples: choosing not to honk the horn when someone cuts him off in traffic, and no longer speaking harshly to himself the way he once did. Both, he says, are evidence of being shaped by love from the inside out. The episode closes by tying this back to forgiveness and oneness — that feeding others begins with first feeding, and shaping, ourselves.
